A Cor do Dinheiro da Vovó is a Brazilian book released in 2019 by the publisher Edebê and is part of the Motyrõ collection. Written by the award-winning indigenous Cristino Wapichana, it is a sensitive, poetic, and educational work.
The illustrations were created mainly with watercolor, colored pencil, and soft pastel. The characters' clothes, their physical characteristics, and the backgrounds were developed after a great study of photographic records of the Wapichana village and the author's grandmother - she was his great inspiration for the main character.
In 2021, this book was chosen by The Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) to be part of the United Nations (UN) Reading Club.
